The Traditions

Ordre Reaux Croix is the custodian of the complete Martinist tradition, as it was developed by Martinez de Pasqually, Louis-Claude de Saint-Martin and Jean-Baptiste Willermoz. This extensive heritage of initiations, instructions, practice and texts is organised in a manner that respects the distinctive character of each tradition, while perceiving them as branching streams from one common source, with a common destination.

Our Order is therefore organised as Three Branches. We represent the relationship between them as a candelabra: one luminary, dispelling the same darkness, where the same fire burns. The initiatory journey begins for all in the Associate’s Degree of the Voie Cardiaque; from there the seeker may in time apply to be received in one or both of the other branches as well.
